University of Florida Auxiliary Library Facility

Facility Description

ALF was originally a medium-density shelving facility. It provided low-cost housing with preservation-level environmental controls for library materials. Low-use materials, archives, manuscripts, as well as rare and fragile materials transferred to ALF from the University of Florida George A. Smathers and many campus library locations. In 2014 a high density Facility and remodeled ALF were unveiled. UF Auxiliary Library Facility (ALF), also houses UF Storage and the Shared Collections Cataloging Unit. Uses
