LegalPAPR is a strategic response for law libraries under pressure to divest of print resources. LegalPAPR combines the efforts of an earlier project to record multiple archived print holdings in the LLMC catalog with those of other participants. These include the law libraries of the University of Chicago, Columbia University and the University of California Berkeley. All of the digital images captured in the LLMC-Digital scanning program are backed up on multiple servers following best practices in the industry. In addition, the original paper blocks of the scanned books are preserved in ideal dark-archive conditions in space leased by LLMC-Digital in salt mines in Kansas.
